8mm Matte and Gloss Ghost and Pyramid Hex Number Plates with Chevron Sides | Custom Pair LB102

This pair of hex number plates is a bit of a design puzzle, in the best way. The two plates are opposites that belong together, one built with a ghost finish and one with a pyramid, like a yin and yang worked in matte and gloss. Add a hex shape with sharp chevron sides and you have custom plates that reward a proper look, different on each plate but unmistakably one design.

The Build

Each character is stacked to a full 8mm from a 5mm matte base with a 3mm gloss topper, so the letters mix a soft, glare-free body with a bright glossy crown. The clever twist is that one plate is finished in ghost, where the edges are raised and the centre is recessed, while the other is finished in pyramid, the exact opposite, with a raised central spine and lower edges. Set side by side they play off each other like a shadow and its mirror. The plates are cut to a hex shape, with 4D chevron borders running down the sides only for a sleek, dynamic edge that keeps the top and bottom clean.

On the Road

Supplied as a matching front and rear pair, laid out with balanced spacing. As with all our raised number plates we laser engrave the maker details and BSAU number into the plate rather than printing them across the face, so the marks stay practically invisible from a normal distance.
